Job Summary
Learning and Development team is looking for a creative-minded individual who will be an essential part of the content facilitation for Learning and Talent-related initiatives. The Learning Specialist delivers content in-person to internal customer groups in order to drive business performance. The person will anticipate and recommend effective learning solutions and connects Learning & Development opportunities to business objectives, career paths, and employee performance objectives. It will be a key part of the Enterprise HR function as a member of the Talent Development Center of Expertise and operate in a team environment. The Learning Specialist is responsible for implementing impactful learning initiatives using a variety of experiences - in-person training classes, live and recorded webinars, on-demand videos and virtual classroom sessions.
Reporting Relationships
- This position reports directly to the Executive Director – Talent Management and Learning
- This position takes guidance and coaching from the Sr. Talent Management Specialist who owns the content facilitated by this role (e.g., New Employee Orientation)
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Facilitate content to multiple adult audiences made up of employees, contractors, vendors, customers, community members, etc. as assigned.
- Lead the facilitation efforts for the New Employee Orientation content.
- Serve as the Enterprise Cirrus University LMS Admin for management of the following activities: compliance tracking, registering employees, report and course creation, content uploading, curriculum management, etc.
- Coordinate and administer the CoPilot program weekly by making assignments, tracking success, communicating details, and facilitating coaching.
- Evaluates training needs, identifies goals and develops learning strategies and training plans.
- Measures the success of learning initiatives, programs, and materials; makes improvements and adjustments to increase learning engagement and retention.
- Updates materials and content to maintain relevance and usefulness.
- Facilitate and deliver development programs via classroom, webinar, or other virtual environments in an engaging manner that is inclusive of various adult learning styles.
- Create instructional videos, webinars, & presentations for HR related initiatives, such as onboarding, safety procedures, career development, employer branding, etc.
- Collaborate with the broader Learning and Development community within Cirrus by participating in meetings, activities, sub-teams with that group.
- Advise content owners on facilitation techniques, effectiveness tips, and facilitation best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related area
- 3+ years’ experience in human resources, presenting, facilitating
- Ability to work on a team and achieve as both an individual contributor AND as a contributor to team outcomes
- Strong project management skills
- Proven creativity with experience in visual/multimedia design (graphics, video, etc.)
- Knowledgeable in digital learning media (infographic, training videos, etc.)
- Prefer experience with Learning Management Systems and Instructional Design software
- Open to working on other Learning and Development related projects
- Strong written and verbal communication including facilitation skills
- MS Office Suite proficient
