Gensco’s Internship Program provides an amazing, hands-on opportunity to become familiar with our business and industry by learning Gensco’s customer service philosophy, operating processes and procedures.
Gensco’s Learning & Development Internship offers:
- Schedule - Monday-Friday day shift schedule, weekends off
- Paid Internship - Full Time pay range $18-$23 per hour based on experience
- Engagement - with Interns at other locations through planned events and scheduled Zoom calls.
- Training - work with our Learning & Development Team on design utilizing but not limited to creative writing, photo, video, and drone capture.
- Mentorship - Regular meetings and ongoing interaction with our L&D and Marketing Team to learn more about Gensco’s business, career growth and development opportunities throughout the department and company.
- Job Duties
- Collaborate closely with the Learning & Development Lead, Learning & Development Department, and subject matter experts (SMEs) in a dynamic internship role.
- Fulfill content needs through creative deployment of video, photo, and drone capture, while providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Create sales and culture promotional assets through design and motion graphics.
- Intern Huddle Up in July - Interns from all locations spent 2 days at our Tacoma Campus for Intern events, presentations by all business units, tour of Tacoma Distribution Center, Columbia Sheet Metal Manufacturing, and Corporate Offices.
- Job Shadow - offered on day 2 of Huddle Up another Gensco department of interest including Accounting, Marketing, Operations, Purchasing, Sales, Manufacturing, IT, or Human Resources.
- Qualifications - Internship is open to college graduates up to 1 year past graduation with focus in Instructional Design, Business Management, Marketing, Digital Media, Cinematography or other related fields. Must be self-motivated with excellent creativity and fierce attention to detail.
All housing and relocation expenses are Intern's responsibility. - Technical Experience - Proficient Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Experience with Adobe Creative Suite specifically: Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects. Previous experience with video editing and 2d motion graphics preferred.
- Future Career Opportunity - Interns who successfully complete the Internship Program may be considered for full-time employment following graduation.
