Job Description:
The Dairy Records Management Systems (DRMS) located in Kildee Hall at Iowa State University is seeking applications for a Learning and Development Specialist II. This position is a member of a multi-person team that closely collaborates with North Carolina partners, providing subject matter expertise to Dairy users around the United States.
The responsibilities of this position include phone and on-site support of DRMS software and products to affiliate managers, producers, technicians and consultants, prepare training materials and educational content both written and video for DRMS staff, DHIA affiliates, publications and other outreach areas.
The successful candidate will have the ability to conduct training sessions, on-site and virtual, of DRMS software and products, create queries using SQL database to retrieve date for educational materials and in-house requests as well as the ability to test DRMS products.
Level Guidelines
• Intermediate-level position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals
• Applies broad, working knowledge of the principles of the field to moderately complex, difficult, and varied problems and issues
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and resolve problems
• Responds to a broad range of inquiries and requests
• May provide training and/or direction to lower-level staff
• May lead projects of moderate scope and complexity
• Provides guidance to students
