POSITION SUMMARY: As a vital member of the CFG Bank team, the HUD LEAN Underwriter plays a pivotal role in evaluating and underwriting projects in compliance with FHA Guidelines.
This role requires a keen understanding of internal FHA Healthcare policies and procedures, as well as a comprehensive analysis of various financial documents. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with origination, credit, and processing teams to ensure timely and accurate evaluation of FHA Healthcare projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluate, analyze and underwrite HUD LEAN projects in compliance with FHA Guidelines.
Maintain an understanding of internal FHA Healthcare policies and procedures. Evaluate appraisals, market studies, project capital need assessments, financial statements, credit reports, insurance policies, and any other documents needed to develop sound underwriting conclusions for FHA Healthcare projects Evaluate the organizational structures of a company, identify the principals, evaluate their experience, qualifications, financial capacity and creditworthiness. Identify any issues with credit, experience and financial capacity.
Work closely with origination, credit and processing in evaluating, underwriting and submitting FHA Healthcare project in a timely mannaer Structure the underwriting and financing aspects of transactions to create the proper balance of risk. Review/Analyze contracts, applications, commitments, and loan documents Analyze operators use of A/R financing Complete various HUD forms as required for the firm application Work closely with HUD individuals in clearing any deficiencies Perform all other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field Three to five years experience in FHA Healthcare real estate underwriting experience LEAN underwriter approval required Strong finance, credit, legal, real estate background Must be proficient in basic software application such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize task and time management skill Ability to travel for site inspections
