We are a youth basketball organization based in Colorado that specializes in full operation of leagues, tournaments, and assigning officials.
The job is fast-paced, multi-faceted, and challenging. It is perfect for a college student who needs flexibility, because the majority of the tasks need to be completed on a specific timeline, but can be done at any time as long as the timeline is met. The job averages around 20 hours/week, but ebbs and flows as seasons change. Some weeks could be 30-40 as we ramp up for a new season and others could be 5-10 as we just double check logistics weekly. There is opportunity to grow, as spring & summer are our busiest seasons.
Ideally, candidates should
- have several years of experience playing, managing, or coaching youth sports (basketball highly preferred but not necessary).
- have experience in aspects of event planning and specifically scheduling, logistics, invoicing, and customer service.
- be self-directed and able to take initiative and be efficient and productive without constant management.
- be familiar with sports operations and lingo at all levels (from recreational leagues up to college programs).
- be able to communicate professionally with various groups of people (clients, coaches, parents, staff, officials, etc.)
