We currently have an opportunity for a Lead Utility Engagement Consultant that will support the Mobility Solutions team by facilitating utility and energy industry engagement in charging solution strategy by leveraging internal and external relationships.
The individual will work with utilities to support processes and relationships the facilitate new power implementations to support EVSE implementations and new business services.
The hybrid position will be based in our Lisle, Illinois headquarters and report into our Director of Mobility Solutions.
ResponsibilitiesUtility engagement, strategy and thought leadership
- Support development and maintenance of relationships within the Utilities industry.
- Support development of Utility Engagement roadmap to support implementation of charging solutions.
- Build Navistar industry presence through utility/energy conferences, speaking events, and whitepapers.
- Support industry initiatives, research, and build awareness of process challenges among utilities.
- Act as subject matter expert inclusive of but not limited to interconnection/circuit reservation processes, applicable tariffs, applicable utility programs as well as general utility and tangential industry landscape.
Product/service development, scalability & training/sales enablement
- Identify new business and service enhancement opportunities with utilities, energy providers, and other relevant industry participants.
- Provide expertise on process development, bottleneck identification, and process optimization is improve charging solution delivery timelines and experience.
- Build Navistar internal utility competencies/processes and train teams to ensure that utility requirements and programs are leveraged during the sales process.
- Develop and maintain KPI's consistent with the goals of the program, adjusting strategy where appropriate based on feedback from clients and internal teams.
Key Client Support
- Support key customer engagements through load forecasting, site selection, and other project related processes/deliverables as well as coordinating with utility planners, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 12 years of analytics, business intelligence, strategy or forecasting experience
- At least 2 years of lead experience

- Master's degree
- At least 8 years of analytics, business intelligence, strategy or forecasting experience
- At least 2 years of lead experience

- At least 14 years of analytics, business intelligence, strategy or forecasting experience
- At least 2 years of lead experience
- Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
- Energy industry experience.
- MBA a plus.
- Industry experience in business development and planning phases of BEV charging, renewable energy etc. is strongly preferred.
- Strong program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience developing presentation materials for and interfacing with executive management.
- Strong understanding of the commercial vehicle industry (including business models, ecosystem players and competitive landscape).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate to external and internal stakeholders (on executive level).
- Demonstrate ability to effectively handle multiple activities and respond to changing priorities with good judgment.
