Role Summary
Lead tooling maintenance including tooling, repair, maintaining injection molds and troubleshooting of molds in the press.
Key Responsibilities
• Demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement
• Follow the Company health and safety objectives and support the company's health and safety directives to provide a safe and healthful workplace for all employees, this includes:
• Regulatory compliance with local, state and federal legislations
• Must be able to perform work on mold in press
• Follow plant-wide measurable and goals that meet or exceed industry standards, and are monitored, tracked and audited on a regular basis and communicated to employees.
• Follow instructions from supervisors for enforcing safety rules and attending the necessary training and follow corrective actions to ensure proper focus on established objectives.
• Maintain proper ergonomics at all times when performing assigned tasks
• Perform PM's on molds, working the crane and flipping molds with crane
• Troubleshooting of tooling issues or molding issues while in press with Aims Team
• Must be able to learn repairs to molds within capabilities of AIM's tool room
• Demonstrate the ability to learn preventative and predictive maintenance on all injection molds in the Mold Department repairing and replacing parts as necessary
• Must follow the company Lock Out/Tag out Program
• Ability to learn tooling machines such as Bridgeport, lathe and surface grinder
Key Qualifications/Requirements

Education/Special Knowledge:
o Some knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and cooling systems
o Knowledge of manifold systems preferred
o Ability to read blueprints
o Ability to modify or create blueprints to document any repairs
o Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
o Demonstrated oral and written communications skills
o Strong organizational skills
o Computer skills, including Microsoft software, a plus
o Ability to use tablet w/ Excel
Experience:
o Minimum 5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred
