Job description

Job Description

Summary
Starbright Early Learning Center is a private preschool located in south Everett. We support the concept that children learn by playing. Playing is the child’s work. Hands-on toys and educational materials are the “texts” of early childhood classrooms. We do not push or pressure children to perform the more academic skills. Instead, we supply the environment and professional guidance so that when children are ready, they have the resources to grow to their greatest capacity.
Starbright offers an eclectic approach to teaching young children that does not rely on one theory alone. While the curriculum at Starbright offers educational activities that enhance both academic and artistic development, teachers understand the importance of developmentally appropriate teaching practices that precede teacher-directed methods found in elementary school. Starbright Early Learning Center is hiring for a Lead Teacher. It is Monday-Friday; 8:30 am-5 pm. Please do not apply if you do not have at least 2 years experience as a Lead, and have a degree or some coursework in ECE. Serious candidates only! We are a high-quality center and strive to have employees who are passionate about working with young children.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, Associates in Early Childhood Education or at least 12 credits in ECE
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional teaching experience in a classroom
  • Strong oral and written communication and basic computer skills.
  • Current background check through Department of Children, Youth, and Families
  • Valid/Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Food Worker Card
  • Proof of current negative TB test
  • COVID –19 Vaccination / approved exemption status
