We are looking for a professional teacher who is passionate and dedicated to providing high quality care for children and excellent experience to families. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic classroom leader who has lots of ideas on how to best pour into our wonderful students. You will flourish here if you are someone with exceptional communication skills, strong work ethics and a desire to grow. You will be responsible for the daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children, and supported by a teaching assistant.
Duties
- Work with children ages 2-3 years of age.
- Implement curriculum daily, teachers are more than welcome to add on activities of their own!
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, social/emotional learning, educational play, media etc.) to teach children.
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers and colors, do crafts etc.)
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.
- Follow the schedule provided by our school.
- Track children’s progress and report your observations to parents.
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
- Lifting up to 40lbs
Requirements
- Experience in Early Childhood Education is preferred (2+ years)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds throughout the workday to at least waist high
- CPR First Aid Certified
Nice To Haves
- Montessori experience or certification a plus!
- CDA or AA Degree will be a plus!
- 30 hours start training
