As a Lead Teacher at Kiddie Academy, you will:
- Create a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment, where children feel cherished and encouraged to learn and grow.
- Meticulously oversee all classroom documentation and paperwork.
- Serve as a mentor and guide to Assistant Teachers, ensuring a seamless curriculum delivery and day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with Unit Leads and Assistant Directors to cultivate the professional development of Assistant Teachers through consistent observation, constructive feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Forge deep connections with families, actively engaging with them to create a supportive and inclusive community.
- Embrace the role of a brand ambassador as you participate in Grass Roots marketing efforts, welcoming potential families into our loving fold.

Kiddie Academy St. Louis comprises three outstanding locations in the metropolitan area: Chesterfield / Des Peres / O’Fallon Missouri. With unwavering support from our corporate team in Baltimore and hands-on local owners, Kiddie Academy offers a dynamic learn-through-play curriculum for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our strong belief in continuous professional development ensures our educators stay engaged and thrive in their careers.
Requirements:We understand that teaching and nurturing young children is a special calling, and we're looking for individuals who can bring their heart and soul to the role. To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Experience in training, mentoring, or coaching.
- Genuine passion for teaching and early childhood development.
- Strong communication skills to connect deeply with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or possess an Associate's degree in a related field.
- Bring at least 2 years of teaching and lesson planning experience in preschool, kindergarten, childcare, or daycare settings.
- Demonstrate an ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Successfully pass a criminal background check and professional reference.
- Fulltime availability only: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift between 7am-5:30pm
