Job Description
Responsibilities:
Direct all aspects of the program administration, operations, and compliance with standards and regulations for the Department of Early Childhood Education (DECE) and DOHMH.
Work with employees to plan and administer curricula that meet federal and New York state criteria.
Guarantee that Blue Sky Daycare center’s facilities are safe for children and adhere to all applicable regulations and laws.
Responsible for evaluating supplies, equipment, and materials.
Responsible for supporting and managing teaching employees, as well as promoting their professional development.
Train new teachers and employees to ensure they meet all legal requirements and rules.
Meet with parents and talk with them about Blue Sky Daycare center’s policies and their children.
Facilitate and develop a communications and marketing plan.
Job Requirements:
New York State Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Education or any field of study.
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in an early childhood setting as a co-Teacher and/or Head Teacher.
Prior Department of Health/OCFS training, infant, and Adult CPR/First Aid Certification
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in early childhood education or any related field of study.
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
