Roles & Responsibilities
This role is the Master Data Steward for Bakken assets maintained in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS, currently SAP). As Lead Specialist, this person directly supervises Hess and contracted Master Data technicians and preventative maintenance plan schedulers. The Lead Specialist is accountable for accurate and timely creation of equipment and functional location masters in the CMMS, maintenance of master records, and enforcement of global Master Data standards for creation and maintenance. The position supports development of accurate and timely material masters for spare parts and creation and maintenance of equipment and functional location bills of material in the CMMS, supervising the asset material master coordinator.
Primary Focus Areas:
- Daily performance of the Master Data team
- Create, edit, or delete equipment and functional location Master Data in the CMMS
- Create preventative maintenance plans based on maintenance strategies provided by Reliability and Integrity Engineering, schedule maintenance plans with input from Area and Craft Logistics Specialists, Operations, and Engineering, and edit existing maintenance plans with approval from Engineering
- Monitor and manage the workflow for requests for Master Data changes, initiated in SAP through M9 notifications
- QA/QC Master Data in the CMMS for compliance with the global Master Data standard and local policies that implement the global standard
- Incorporate regular reviews of Master Data key performance indicators in the team's operating rhythm and facilitate problem-solving activities to resolve performance gaps
- Work cross-functionally with asset business partners to obtain quality source information needed to create compliant equipment and functional location masters
- Work cross-functionally with asset business partners to educate and enforce compliance with global and local Master Data standards
- Network with the Central Master Data Steward and other asset Master Data stewards to drive improvements in Master Data quality, reliability, and useability

Experience/Skills
- 3+ years' experience with Master Data creation and management in a computerized maintenance management system (SAP preferred)
- Possess strong written and verbal communications skills with ability to lead, coach, and train others
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision in a diverse, multi-discipline team environment, including the ability to influence without authority
- Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of Lean principles and tools, experienced in problem-solving activities
- Proficient computer skills / business system knowledge (i.e., SAP, Microsoft Office Applications, EBS, ICONICS, Spotfire)
Education/Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates or bachelor's degree preferred
- SAP PM courses or equivalent preferred
