Experience:

• High school diploma or GED

• Formal vocational training is

• Ten to Fifteen years of experience

• Caterpillar and Waukesha engine experience

• Ariel, GE, and other gas compressor experience

• Emissions controls, Control Panel, and I&E experience

Summary:

This is a full-time Lead Shop Technician position based out of Midland, Texas

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced technical support to the Shop Manager and mentorship to Shop Technicians on a diverse range of projects.

• Demonstrate technical expertise and exemplary leadership by performing skilled tasks, including all levels of maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a wide variety of natural gas engines and compressors.

• Coordinate effectively with team members, management, and customers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate deliverables clearly.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose all levels of the compressor system, optimizing compression equipment performance.

• Ensure strict compliance with all company and customer policies and procedures.

• Complete required paperwork as directed, providing detailed progress reports.

• Continuously refine and develop skills in line with technological advances in the industry.

• Collaborate seamlessly within a team environment as a contributing team leader and demonstrate the ability to work independently when necessary.

• Clearly communicate all challenges, failures, and successes.

• Uphold a professional demeanor in line with the core values of our client.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following requirements:

• Proficiency in compressor and engine maintenance.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for general electronic and mechanical control problems.

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

• Availability to work set hours.

• Successful completion of all drug-related and background testing.

• Possession of a full set of hand tools as defined by company standards.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to attend required training classes and seminars.

• General computer skills and capability of utilizing the computer as an appropriate diagnostic tool.

Skills:

• Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.

Licenses:

• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly lift heavy objects.

• Spend extended periods standing.

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
