Job description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or a related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience building and shipping technical products.
  • 3 years of people management experience with direct reports, and in technical leadership.
  • Experience developing consumer electronics products with software experiences.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
  • Experience with imaging solutions, home or commercial security cameras.
  • Experience driving elements of the product development lifecycle (e.g., product roadmap, requirements definition, go-to-market strategy, or product launch, etc.).
  • Experience owning software and hardware for a consumer electronics device.
  • Experience working with ODM ecosystems.
  • Ability to travel once a quarter to Asia.

The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software, and services for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Google Nest team develops, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead as the Product Manager for the Nest Camera Product portfolio.
  • Define and help the team bring hardware products to market.
  • Work with Engineering, Design, and external partners to execute on the aligned product definition.
  • Work with go-to-market teams to develop a strategy to land and scale portfolios in market.
  • Manage a team of Product Managers.
