This role is open to remote for MN residents.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
The Lead SAP ABAP Developer is responsible for development, enhancements, troubleshooting, fixes, and ongoing maintenance of ABAP related customizations to the SAP application. This position includes project-based development work, as well as day to day support of the existing application and integrations. In this role the Lead SAP ABAP Developer will serve as a technical SME for other application teams within QBP with upstream or downstream dependencies on SAP. The SAP landscape at QBP is comprised of SAP ECC version 6.0 (SAP S/4 coming in 2025) FI, CO, SD, MM modules and SAP CRM and GTS applications. This position also supports integration of middleware software connections to applications such as Esker AR/AP, Sovos Tax Compliance Solutions, and Körber/HighJump Warehouse Management System.

  • Responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of all SAP RICEF objects.* [35%]
  • Participate in day-to-day production support, troubleshooting, and break/fix contribution. * [20%]
  • Provide estimates and dependencies for development tasks and demonstrate excellent coding abilities to produce a scalable quality product. * [15%]
  • Write technical documents to support the functional specifications and implementation details.* [15%]
  • Assist in the evaluation and integration of third-party applications/services and conduct technical discussions and reviews directly with analysts, stakeholders, product owners and scrum teams.* [5%]
  • Develop a strong understanding of QBP development and business processes and actively identify and implement process and technical improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual overhead. [5%]
  • Mentor other ABAP developers. [3%]
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. [2%]

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 6 - 8 years of experience in ABAP development
    • Experience in RICEF object development primarily in ECC
    • Extensive experience in ABAP development, including IDocs, APIs, RFCs, BAPIs, BAdIs, ALV, LSMW, ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Reports SAP Script, and Smart Forms
    • Good understanding of OTC, R2R, and P2P business processes
    • Experience with ABAP Web Services/Web Application Server
    • Experience with RESTful API development
    • Experience with SAP Process Orchestration
    • Advanced problem-solving skills
    • Capable of effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders possessing various levels of technical knowledge.
    • Ability to identify issues when you have ambiguous or contradictory information.
    • Willingness to take initiative and work effectively without close supervision, maintain accuracy and quantity of work under pressure of deadlines and changing priorities.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
    • Experience with Agile development methodology
    • Experience with Decentralized Warehouse Management
    • Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) integrations
    • Experience with Adobe Forms
    • Familiarity with SAP Data Services
    • Familiarity with SAP CRM
    • Familiarity with SAP Global Trade Service (GTS) application
