We are seeking a full time Lead Patient Support Staff to work with patients as they embark on their journey to live a life free of substance use. This role will work the Second Shift and be eligible for our shift differential. Our recovery staff are part of collaborative multi-disciplinary team, and they help to provide a supportive environment and will utilize evidenced based interventions so that patients can gain the skills for lasting change.
The Lead staff will:
- Supervise patients in all residential activities, such as meal time, school programming, free time, family recreation, essential day to day safety, phone calls, etc.
- Aiding the supervisor in training of all PSS Staff.
- Ensure group programing is professional and supervised.
- Documenting any incident reports, accident reports, CNP meal counts, TB documentation, daily logs, etc.
- Modeling appropriate interaction with staff members and patients. Lead by example by complying with the general expectations of the Employee Handbook.
- Acts as a staff back-up for staff illness, vacations, or at any other time when appropriate coverage is not available to handle the immediate need. Assist with on-call responsibilities, such as filling shifts.
- Coordinates medication control procedure and schedule exams for patients. Monitors all drug screen procedures within the assigned program.
- Coordinates patient transportation program, monitors patient bedrooms, lounges and laundry rooms for cleanliness, safety and compliance with licensure standards. Communicates all facility and vehicle maintenance needs with Director of Facility Operations.
This candidate must have a high school diploma/GED. Candidates with an education in a human service field, a Professional Certificate and/or experience in a residential treatment environment are strongly encouraged to apply. This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass an extensive background check. As a condition of employment new hires will be required to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved exemption.
Salary and Benefits
ASAC offers a competitive compensation with a starting pay of $16.64 an hour and staff are eligible for evening, overnights and weekend shift differentials.
