Position Summary:
The Receiving Lead is responsible for maintaining the process flow and performing receipts of products that are delivered to the company facility.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
*Coordinates and participates in all receiving functions, adhering to established standards, methods, and procedures.
*Assigns work among the receiving team to utilize skills, knowledge, and experience.
*Maintains appropriate levels of labor in accordance with skill requirements, work levels, schedules, and training programs.
*Provides instruction, guidance, and maintains close surveillance over larger, more critical transfers, orders, and receipts.
*Ensures all daily tasks on receiving lead daily responsibilities list are completed by end of shift each day.
*Communicates daily with Supervisor to ensure all tasks are achieved.
*Maintains conformance with all safety rules and regulations.
*Assist receivers in daily functions of receiving, including but not limited to:
*Perform receiving duties including unloading of trucks, and visually inspecting packages for damage.
*Visually inspect items against packing lists and Purchase Orders to ensure correct parts and quantities are received.
*Count or weigh parts to verify quantity.
*Ensure all packages are labelled correctly with company transit label.
*Use pallet jacks and dollies to bring products and materials to appropriate locations.
*Distribute processed materials and packages to the proper recipient.
*Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Education and/or Experience:
*2 years of related supervisory experience in a distribution center environment.
*Knowledge of material processes and internal inventory systems such as Oracle a plus.
*Proficient in MS Office applications (ie. Outlook).
*Knowledge of material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks.
Requirements:
*Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to write legibly.
*Must be able to follow established policies and procedures, and work under the direction of the supervisor.
*Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
*Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
*Candidate must be willing to be trained and certified for use of forklifts and reach trucks.
