- Strategic Quality Vision: Define and champion quality goals in alignment with product needs, working closely with stakeholders to establish success metrics.
- Process Innovator: Lead the continuous improvement of QA processes, ensuring optimal efficiency, test coverage, and timely insights.
- Quality Communication: Maintain transparent communication with teams and stakeholders, providing a comprehensive understanding of the product's quality landscape.
- Define Acceptance Criteria: Collaborate on clear and precise acceptance criteria to guide development and ensure product requirements are fully met.
- Champion Improvement: Foster a culture of perpetual QA improvement, encouraging open discussion and knowledge sharing amongst the team.
- Automate and Innovate: Drive the evolution of test automation strategies, evaluating and incorporating innovative tools and techniques.
- Hands-on Expertise: Perform exploratory testing and experimentation to uncover potential issues and complement existing automated checks.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead in-depth analysis to identify the root causes of defects, preventing future regressions.
- Cross-Platform Testing: Oversee integrated testing across web, mobile, and hardware components, ensuring a seamless user experience in complex systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; significant equivalent experience strongly considered.
- At least (5) years of experience in Agile software development teams, including at least (2) years in a QA leadership role.
Skills and Abilities:
- Compliance & Security Focus: Familiarity with incorporating compliance and security best practices into QA strategies.
- Tool Mastery: Extensive experience with defect detection and tracking systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Testing tools for Python and JavaScript (Jest, Cypress, Storybook highly desirable).
- A programming language (JavaScript, Python, C#, etc.)
- Agile methodologies, load testing, Git, Postman, Chrome Dev Tools, etc.
- Testing interactions with hardware systems (kiosks, card readers, etc.).
- OpenAPI documentation experience, a plus.
- Passion for sharing QA knowledge through mentoring and training, a plus.
