Principal Accountabilities
In addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assists in assessing daily requirements of various inspection areas based on changes in volume and/or priorities
- Develops quality standards within the parameters set by SEC, external customers and headquarters
- Conducts physical and visual inspections based on the requirements of each productions area
- Compiles and inputs data into corresponding spreadsheets and/or matrices for the generation of required reports
- Ensures that any errors are expediently corrected
- Helps identify and define problems, as well as assists in solutions
- Reviews processes to drive continual improvement and report findings
- Provides training on basic quality policies, principles, and expectations
- Provides directions to quality inspectors, including guidance, training, encouragement, and coaching
- Provides training to quality inspectors in proper documentation of defects
- Conducts Inspector training validations to ensure process are being followed
- Conducts quality inspections in assigned areas
- Expedites priority orders through the process.
- Exercises strong judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques
- Addresses inspection-related questions and critical inspection issues
- Escalates employee performance related issues
- Identifies and escalates quality and environmental areas of concerns to management
- Monitors the daily 6S for the Quality Center and ensure its compliance
- Accurately maintains electronic and paper records and submits all documentation in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Previous experience using gauges to perform quality inspection.
- Knowledge of Quality Standards/SOPs
- Knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
- Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing/QC environment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
