The Role
Wizard is hiring a Lead Product Designer with a background in product design to own the UX (User Experience) of our key web and digital interfaces for merchants, end consumers, and internal operational team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the UX (User Experience) of our key web and digital interfaces for merchants, end consumers, and internal operational team.
- Design a brand new digital interface for our dashboard product for merchants, improving the mobile web-app touchpoints for the end consumer SMS flow and redesigning the task oriented order workflow platform that our internal team uses to chat with end consumers.
- Deliver digital design projects from start to finish that improve the web experience of our users.
- Partner with business leaders, product managers, and other internal stakeholders to drive a design vision that is consistent with company priorities and user needs.
- Define and stand up initial design processes in collaboration with product and engineering. Identify when various UX initiatives are needed and lead them, including user journey mapping, brainstorming workshops, sketching, wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, user testing, and more.
- Pinch-hit user research initiatives.
- Lead by example to promote empathetic user centric design, constant learning, and attention to detail.
- Assist with conversation flow design and copy writing. Develop a diverse, inclusive, highly-talented, multidisciplinary team through recruiting and mentorship.
- Ability to WFH (work from home) up to 2 days a week.
You:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, UX Design, Educational Technology and Applied Learning Sciences, or a related field and 4 years of experience as a Product Designer.
- We will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, UX Design, Educational Technology and Applied Learning Sciences, or a related field and 6 years of experience as a Product Designer.
- UI/UX/Visual Design experience with a SaaS product.
- Expert knowledge of the end to end iterative product design process, including developing and using personas, job stories, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, user research, user testing, and high fidelity visuals.
- Ability to incorporate data analytics to help validate hypotheses.
- Experience with multiple user research methods, such as user interviews, surveys, card sorting, field studies, etc.
- Experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working with cross-functional teams including engineering and product management.
- Ability to communicate design ideas and help stakeholders understand the "why" behind the design rationale.
- Ability to address immediate design needs, while keeping an eye towards longer term scalability, design consistency, and internal documentation/organization
- Experience partnering with business leaders, product managers and other internal stakeholders to drive a design vision that is consistent with company priorities and user needs.
The expected salary for this role is $180,000 to $210,000 per year
