Job Summary:
As Lead Product Designer, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end user experience of our enterprise SaaS solution. We seek a design leader who can develop a strong vision, collaborate with customers and stakeholders, and execute UI and UX designs in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate blends business strategy and client needs with demonstrated success and experience in product design and delivery.
This role can be fully remote or have the option for flexible office presence in downtown Manhattan.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand customer problems and goals by engaging with customer-facing teams and directly interacting with customers
- Define and maintain an end-to-end vision for the platform's user experience
- Discover and validate design solutions through workshops, static and dynamic prototypes
- Present and seek feedback on designs from key stakeholders and customers
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering, actively participating in product development and delivery, including Agile ceremonies
- Partner with the Product Management team to align design efforts with overall product goals
- Deliver usable design assets for development and ensure front-end development meets design specifications
- Monitor the success of the experience through web analytics and user feedback
- Contribute to product roadmap prioritization and planning, acting as an advocate for the end user
- Maintain and expand the design system, enabling its use by Engineering
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of product design experience, with a focus on SaaS B2B solutions; P2P, marketplaces, or ESG experience highly desirable
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design: Product, UX, Visual, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (preferred)
- Full-stack design experience
- Exceptional portfolio highlighting design aesthetic and examples of B2B SaaS solutions
- Adept at visual and verbal communication, comfortable presenting to stakeholders, and leading design discussions
- Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
- Knowledge of the design processes, including design thinking, lean UX and other agile methodologies.
- Proficient in design tools and capable of using Figma to expedite the team's workflow
- Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, Javascript
- Proven experience managing and mentoring junior designers
- Strong focus on execution and delivery
Sourcemap offers a competitive compensation package based on job-related factors such as business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications. For this role, the base salary range is 130K-170K. Sourcemap offers a benefit package, including but not limited to paid time off, paid holidays, medical, dental and vision benefits, 401k.
