Lead Preschool Teacher- First Year's Program

Colonial House Preschool is a well-established private preschool located in South Pasadena. We are looking for responsible, hard working, individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of children in our close-knit community. We are looking for someone who loves the outdoors! Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills and use sensitivity and good judgment when interacting with children, parents, and staff members. Candidates must be able to work 5 days a week.

Qualifications:
12 ECE/CD units
Specific courses include: child growth and development, child family and community, program/curriculum
Minimum 1 year teaching experience
Official and unofficial transcripts
Live scan fingerprinting and all necessary licensing paperwork is required
First Aid/CPR Certified
TB Clearance required/Immunization Records/ Covid-19 Vaccine/booster

Duties Include, but not Limited to the Following:

• Interact with parents to build good rapport and maintain positive relationships
• Create, prepare, and execute lesson plans
• Supervise and interact with children in a positive manner
• Provide a well supervised and safe environment at all times
• Attend to diaper changes as needed
• Participate with set-up and clean-up of indoor and outdoor environments and equipment
• Maintain areas of the physical environment including storage of equipment, furniture, materials and supplies
• Participate in staff meetings as required
• Participate in after hour holiday and other events as needed
• Must be appropriately dressed, well groomed, and neat
• Must be able to work with all aspects of children between the ages of 2-5 years old
