POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Pool Attendant team. This individual must commit to training a team to provide exceptional guest service while maintaining a safe and clean environment for all owners/guests. The Pool Attendant Lead will consistently monitor pool and deck activity to help enforce safety rules. The team member will also be responsible for opening and closing duties, safety checks, and performing first aid care as needed. Secondary responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the decks, pools, and providing information beneficial to guest satisfaction by up selling resort facilities and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Assist the Pool Attendant team in politely and consistently enforcing all deck, pool, and slide rules.
- Prevent injuries and eliminate hazards, recognize, and respond effectively in emergency situations. Take charge in any type of emergency until the supervisor arrives to the scene.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, as well as a high quality of guest relations.
- Train new and/or existing team members on policies, procedures, and terminology of the Pool Attendant Team processes. Provide the team with feedback in a positive and constructive manner. Relay feedback to Supervisor on progress, ideas, and improvements.
- Maintain CPR and rescue skills for internal and external testing. Participate in scheduled in-service training on land and in water. Keep certifications current.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to follow prescribed procedures and guidelines in accomplishing tasks as described above.
- Ability to be self-directed.

- Skill in attention to detail.
- Certification of shallow water safety skills, first aid and CPR preferred. Training may be given on sit
- Should have a minimum at least (3) months of Pool Attendant experience or equivalent
- Show competency in water by completing a swim test to include, 100- yard continuous swim using breaststroke and/or front crawl.
