As the Lead Physical Therapist at our Schertz and Central San Antonio, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive physical therapy services to a diverse caseload of patients while also taking on a leadership role within our clinic. You will work closely with our clinical team to maintain the highest standards of patient care and provide mentorship and guidance to other therapists.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare an assessment of the patient’s condition and periodic evaluations and summaries, develop a plan of care and problem list, and write clinical/progress notes on the date of the visit and incorporate the same in the patient’s record.
- Participate in the development and periodic revision of the physician’s plan of treatment
- Assist the physician in evaluating patients by applying diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests.
- Treat patients to relieve pain and/or develop or restore function to maintain maximum performance.
- Record and report to the physician the patient’s reaction to treatment and/or any changes in the patient’s condition.
- Instruct the family in the patient's total physical therapy program, to include the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices (canes, wheelchairs, etc.).
- Provide mentorship and supervision to therapists, physical therapy assistants (PTAs), and support staff.
- Offer guidance on case management, treatment planning, and best practices.

Education and Experience:
Required:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Preferred:
- Experience working with individuals with communication and swallowing disorders is preferred.
- Experience mentoring and leading other clinical staff
- Three years of experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
- Fine motor skills to use tools and equipment
- Visual and auditory acuity to assess patients' conditions and communicate with patients and colleagues
