Our Accounting Team is seeking Lead Payroll and A/P Specialist to work with other team members in performing accounts payable and payroll tasks. Enhancing cohesiveness and maintaining team morale is a responsibility of all our team members, as is the ambition for self-improvement and talent development. The essential duties and responsibilities include leading team members with:
Obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of company policies and practices related to payroll, accounts payable, expense reimbursement, purchasing and others to ensure consistent application and compliance.
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of Payroll and ERP systems necessary to perform assigned tasks.
Manage processing of multi-state bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees in an accurate, timely and compliant manner.
Manage preparation of payroll-related reporting needs to support employee benefit administration or regulatory reporting (e.g., workers compensation, flexible spending accounts, health care).
Review and reconcile periodic payroll tax filings prepared by payroll service provider.
Assist with the full-cycle accounts payable tasks including processing of vendor invoices and payment requests, employee expense reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions and entering related information in the ERP system.
Manage processing of travel-related employee expense reimbursements in compliance with company policies and practices.
Ensure invoices and payment requests have appropriate approvals, accurately match to applicable purchase orders and receiving information and assist with the resolution of discrepancies.
Monitor application of sales and use tax on company purchases.
Assist with weekly payment processing.
Reconcile vendor statements to processed invoices and assist with resolving discrepancies.
Assist with maintaining vendor information in the ERP system.
Maintain proper documentation and record retention consistent with company policies and accepted accounting practices.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with employees and external contacts as needed.
Make recommendations for workflow and process improvements.
Report and review all abnormalities with supervisors.
Perform administrative and other duties as assigned.
Education and work experience requirements are:
Previous experience directly managing team members.
Bachelor's, AA, or AS degree in accounting preferred.
8+ years of experience performing similar duties.
Experience in governmental contracting, ERP system QAD/EAM, Paylocity and SAP Concur a plus.

Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Monday through Friday business hours

TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to the market in an individual's geographic location, in addition to their qualifications and experience. The posted range is for individuals located in the San Diego, CA area. The pay range for this position is: $80,000-90,000k, annually.
