Primary Purpose of this Job
This position is responsible for performing activities to provide a liaison between Production Control, Production, Quality and the Engineering Department. This position has the ability to train employees on proper set up and operation of machinery, assist Supervisor in the completion of first article inspections to ensure quality standards are met, monitor and promote all safety best practices and policies.
We have a weekend day shift and weekend night shift available. On the weekend day shift, you will work from 6am-7pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This includes your lunch and breaks. You will train on day shift Monday-Thursday from 6am to 2:30pm. On the weekend night shift, you will work from 6pm-7am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This includes your lunch and breaks. You will train on day shift Monday-Thursday from 2pm to 10:30pm.
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)
• Set up, operate, and develop jobs and production operations.
• Assist others in on floor technical problem solving.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Mentor and train others in technical areas.
• Interface with engineering on program and tooling needs and improvement.
• Participate in planning product flow across assigned work centers.
• Ability to review blueprints, drawings, specifications, sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of part/product, sequence of operations and/or set up requirements.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust the machine controls or control media as necessary.
• Facilitate efficient throughput of jobs through the manufacturing shop in line with production schedules.
• Ability to provide solutions and alternatives to meet efficiency, productivity and utilization goals.

Minimum Job Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of shop floor CNC lead experience
• 4 years of CNC Machinist experience
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
• 4 years' experience in the precision machining
• Experience with root cause analysis, lean manufacturing, aerospace material and quality specifications, and programming capability
Certification and Licensing
• NA
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities typically required to perform the essential functions of this job.
Knowledge of:
• turning, milling, and inspection including cutting tools and their materials, fixture to machine relationships, general programming, set up, and qualification practices
Skilled in:
• Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to effectively lead in a team based problem solving environment.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
Working Conditions under which the essential functions of this are typically performed.
• The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Our Total Rewards program and options available to an employee may vary depending on multiple factors, including location and hire date. Hourly pay rates are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Hourly Pay: $30.00- $40.00/hr.
