Northern Virginia Pediatric Associates has been providing the highest standards of care for children for over 47 years. Although our practice has grown over the years, our goal to provide the best medical care for children and to help them mature into healthy adults has remained the same. Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and provide day to day guidance, support, and direction to direct patient care staff.
· Monthly scheduling of floor and triage nurses.
· Maintain overall shift operation in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPPA and company policies.
· Lead monthly staff meeting and attend monthly administrative meetings.
Hire, train, and orient staff as necessary.
· Complete individual staff evaluations during probationary period and annually.
· Routinely observe and guide direct patient care staff.
· Conduct individual coaching meetings as needed.
Maintain knowledge in the current practices related to pediatrics.
Triage patient calls, schedule appointments as needed.
Order and ensure adequate vaccine supply.
Qualifications
· Valid VA RN license.
· Proven experience in patient care and clinical procedures.
· Proficiency in medication administration and knowledge of common medications.
· Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and health care team members.
· Ability to perform physical examinations and assess patient conditions accurately.
· Advanced knowledge of EHR and triage systems, OSHA and HIPPA regulations.
