Salary: $150,000 - $170,000 per year
We're a leading California hospital, ranked by U.S News & World Report (2022-2023). We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Lead Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. This position is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment with unique challenges. The Lead Network Security Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the security of our complex network infrastructure, ensuring the safety and integrity of our critical data and systems. This role is integral to our organization's operations, as our Network Security is paramount in maintaining the confidentiality and security of our patients' information.

Responsibilities:
As a Lead Network Security Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the design, development, and implementation of our Network Security infrastructure to ensure the highest level of security.
2. Leading a team of Network Security professionals, providing guidance and support, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
3. Conducting regular Network Security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats and implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks.
4. Managing the configuration and operation of Cisco routers and switches, and ensuring their optimal performance and security.
5. Implementing and managing routing protocols and Cisco architecture to support our network operations.
6. Developing and implementing Network Security policies and procedures, and ensuring their compliance across the organization.
7. Collaborating with other IT teams and management to continuously improve our Network Security infrastructure and practices.
8. Providing technical expertise in the resolution of Network Security issues, and ensuring the continuous availability and integrity of our network services.
9. Keeping abreast of the latest Network Security technologies and trends, and making recommendations for their adoption where appropriate.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the role of Lead Network Security Engineer should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a network engineer role in an enterprise environment, with prior lead or supervisory experience.
2. Demonstrable expertise with Cisco routers, Cisco switches, routing protocols (OSPF), and Cisco architecture.
3. Possession of a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent. CCNP is a major plus!
4. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Network Security infrastructure.
5. Excellent knowledge of Network Security principles, best practices, and technologies.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of Network Security professionals.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex Network Security issues.
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with other IT teams, management, and stakeholders.
9. A strong commitment to maintaining the highest level of Network Security and the confidentiality and integrity of our patients' information.
