The Spring Hill School – Lead Montessori Toddler Teacher

The successful candidate will:
- Lead children in Montessori lessons
- Guide and supervise assistant teacher.
- Guide unique and creative lessons to support a Montessori curriculum for children ages 18 months-3 years.
- Supervise children with safety as the highest priority.
- Guide effective classroom management.
- Preparation of the indoor and outdoor learning environments (ex. preparing materials and supplies, cleaning up, properly storing materials in collaboration with the children)
- Establish strong daily routines and rhythms for children.
- Maintain positive relationships with families.
- Work collaboratively with other toddler teachers and aftercare teachers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Montessori trained, certificate preferred.
- Must meet Early Childhood Education requirements for California Community Care Licensing – minimum 12 completed ECE units
- Spanish speaker (highly desirable, but not required)
- Passionate, knowledgeable and creative
- Experience working with toddlers (18 months to 3 years old)
- Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn
- Able to effectively communicate with parents
- Team player and committed to making learning joyful
- A "can do" attitude
- Warm and nurturing demeanor
