Lead Mold Maker

We are hiring for a Lead Mold Maker who is responsible for building new tooling per cad or detailed prints, evaluating, maintaining, and repairing existing molds as well as production tooling.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Must be able to plan and build new tooling with minimum supervision.
• Must be able to accurately evaluate and execute mold repairs or changes.
• Identify and communicate any possible tooling improvements.
• Must be able to delegate work as well as train Mold Makers, mold maintenance technicians as well as apprentices.
• Must be able to operate all tool room equipment.
• Must be able to work overtime based on production needs.
• Work with QA to identify quality concerns.

SUCCESS FACTORS

• Must be able to plan and build new plastic injection tooling with minimum supervision.
• Must be able to accurately evaluate and execute mold repairs or changes.
• Must be able to delegate work as well as train Mold Makers, mold maintenance technicians as well as apprentices.
• Successful completion of forklift training.
• Must be able to operate all tool room equipment.

WHAT YOU BRING (skills, knowledge, experience)

• 7+ years of injection molding building experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year diploma for Tool and Die program
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have good problem-solving skills and be detail oriented.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must have own precision tools.
• Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
• Prior forklift experience, is preferred.
