Position Summary
The M&A Lead plays a vital role in the M&A team, participating in the evaluation and execution of various inorganic opportunities (acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and/or other inorganic opportunities) by partnering throughout the Kraft Heinz organization and with external advisors to guide transactions from inception to completion. The position requires the ability and maturity to properly handle highly confidential information and excellent communication and technical skills. This person will play an exciting and critical role in originating and executing active and prospective M&A projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Pipeline building and idea generation including screening, researching potential investment opportunities, networking to build connectivity externally and working with relevant business units to construct evaluation frameworks for potential M&A targets
- Formulating investment theses, conducting thorough financial and business analyses and communicating findings to senior leaders
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to guide a transaction from identification to completion
- Participation in the due diligence process, including the coordination of large teams of internal partners and external advisors
- Manage and deliver project communications to internal project teams
Qualifications
- Experience preferred in Corporate Development or M&A at other similar firms in industry, investment banks, strategy or accounting firms
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience
- Strong financial acumen and corporate finance knowledge
- Strong financial modeling skills; ability to build valuation models and understand valuation inputs
- Individual must be a self-starter with high energy, proactive approach, and strong presentation and communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills paired with excellent judgment
