What you will do

  • Assesses the impact of competitive dynamics and points of parity / points of difference through competitive analysis.
  • Responsible for competitor analysis and surveillance through various channels (may include conference calls, earnings updates, analyst reports and tradeshows.)
  • Utilizes specific approaches and tools for gathering and collating competitive information
  • Adheres to organizational protocols, practices and procedures for gathering competitive information
  • Understands the needs of the primary and secondary customers.
  • Understands what current and potential customers need to drive value in the portfolio.
  • Utilizes the key activities and functions of market research.
  • Deploys different approaches and methodologies of market research. Familiar with the most common types of qualitative and quantitative research in the design of market research: focus groups, one-on-one interviews, conjoint analysis and cluster analysis.
  • Gathers and applies market research in decision making.
  • Assesses key sources of information for meaningful market research.
  • Assists in the planning, design and implementation of a market research project.
  • Partners with global leaders to develop research strategies tailored to the specific market.
  • Understands reimbursement healthcare trends and how they impact customer's purchasing behaviors.
  • Names key industry players, leaders, and trendsetters.
  • Understands key products and services in the industry.
  • Explains how our organization compares to others in the industry.
  • Understands key industry segments and associated characteristics.
  • Can estimate the effort needed to target each customer group in all four Big Picture quadrants.
  • Synthesizes market trends on sources of volume and strategic focus.
  • Understands potential sources of new volume for the fundamental entity.
  • Can forecast potential volume for each source of volume.
  • Consistently seeks to validate the choice of the brand's segmentation variable by testing that it motivates customer behavior.
  • Understands the different approaches to segmentation.
  • Can perform needs-based segmentation (i.e., behavioral, attitudinal, and aspirations)
  • Works to identify and measure customer variable importance and perception.
  • Analyzes brand equity inputs to assess trends in brand equity.
  • Able to segment brand equity inputs by customer type to determine how the business is performing in engaging target customer markets.
  • Creates a standardized way to track KPIs as well as a consistent method to report back to the business.
  • Documents performance criteria used for evaluating trends and activities.
  • Assists in preparing charts, graphs, tables, and other tools.
  • Generates and interprets basic analytics.
  • Recognizes and assesses problems, opportunities and methods for improving existing reports.
  • Maintains and organizes market insights related data.
  • Assists in evaluation of RFPs and recommendation of vendor decision
  • Communicates with vendor on critical information for project completion.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA preferred
  • 4+ years of work experience required
  • 2+ years market research experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
  • Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority
  • Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Power BI

*$75,300 - $156,900 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.*
