Key Skills and Competencies:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience preferred in set-up of CNC lathes, CNC horizontal milling and CNC vertical milling machine
· Experience with reading and editing G Code will be expected
· Strong understanding in blueprint reading and geometric tolerance interpretation
· CNC programming is a must
· Knowledgeable use of precision measurement and the application of such instruments including calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales
· Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
· Must be able to work in changing environments and adjust to competing demands and ability to deal with frequent changes
· Must possess basic math skills
· Must possess leadership skills and be able to communicate well with others
· Knowledge to identify and act on continual improvement of processes, tooling and procedures
Responsibilities:
· Operation, loading parts, proving programs, operating controls, set offsets, deburring when needed and inspection of quality parts
· Interpret drawings, manuals, specification, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts
· Detect equipment malfunctions and tolerance machining issues
· Communicate with management, production, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve any machine or quality issues
· Perform other duties as assigned by management
· Lead other team operators to ensure productivity, quality and ISO standards are met
