The Lead Linux Administrator leads the management and support of ERP cloud systems at a secure and stable level while maximizing availability and providing secured access for applications, application developers, college staff, and students. Duties and Responsibilities:Defines Linux OS standard configurations for use in mission critical systemsManages the security configuration of Linux systemsManages the ERP cloud infrastructureTracks vulnerabilities and applies appropriate patches and upgradesWrites scripts to automate multiple administrative tasksDevelops and tests system backup and recovery plansDevelops and maintains capacity plans for all systemsMonitors and troubleshoots system performanceInstalls, configures, and documents new servers and applicationsMaintains and audits system security configuration and logs Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or other closely related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in implementing complex enterprise Linux systems and security technologiesExperience administering Linux systems in a complex environmentExperience with public cloud infrastructure (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)Experience of Bash, Perl and other scripting languages.Experience of WebLogic and Tomcat technologiesExperience of FTP, SFTP, DNS and other protocolsExperience of PeopleSoft systems in a large complex organizationTo learn more about this and other positions at Miami Dade College visit us at www.mdc.edu/jobs.
