Job description

The Lead Linen Attendant maintains and develops positive customer relations by ensuring quality linen service throughout the hospital. Supervises and trains Linen Attendants and provides feedback to the Manager, Environmental Services as needed. Ensures that work is done in accordance with standard procedures and with hospital objectives. Continually follows departmental policies and procedures to ensure high satisfaction. Performs other duties assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years environmental service experience in a clinical/patient care setting.
  • Linen experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with daily laundry and linen services and completing assigned tasks. Monitors daily operational standards.
  • Supervises daily laundry and linen services by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring operations standards.
  • Oversees the retrieval of soiled linen and the issuance of clean linen throughout the hospital.
  • Manages linen exchange service and dispatches team members to respond to linen exchange.
  • Records incoming and outgoing weights of daily linen and keeps accounting and textile inventory records up to date.
  • Ensures the correct linen Par level is on each cart.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Pay Range:

Hourly/Non-Exempt

$13.00 - $16.00; based on work experience
