In this role, you will:

• Lead complex initiatives on selected domains.
• Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk.
• Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost.
• Lead, design, develop, test, and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies.
• Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature.
• Create/modify SQL database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, etc.).
• Perform thorough unit testing & documentation of development activities.
• Participate in 'Peer-reviews' of source code and provide constructive feedback.
• Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.
• Mentor less experienced Software Engineers.
• Provide Level 3 production support as required.
• Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers.
• Lead team to achieve objectives.
• Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of experience in Application Development using Java.
• 3+ years of experience in Microservices.
• 2+ years of experience in database technology such as Mongo DB and SQL Server.
• 2+ years of experience in ETL Informatica.

Desired Qualifications:

• Capital Markets experience a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in Cloud Implementation such as Google, Azure, or Kubernetes.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile in a development environment.
• 2+ years of experience Leading, coaching and mentoring junior staff.
• 1+ years of experience in Automation Testing such as BDD or Cucumber.
• Strong background building relationships with stakeholders.

Job Expectations:

• Be willing to work non-standard business hours on an on-call basis in a 24x7 environment.
