About Cognizant's Digital Engineering Practice:
At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, nimble engineering teams generate collective empathy and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality deliverables. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. Working in Cognizant Digital Engineering provides DevOps engineers consistent opportunities to push digital boundaries while growing their exposure to transformational technologies.

Location: Columbus, Ohio.
Responsibilities:
- Experience in design and build of complex application systems using the new banking architecture including Java/J2EE/Spring technologies. Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages including Java/J2EE/JSP based Web applications/AWS/KAFKA/KUBERNETES/Middleware and Batch systems.
- Experience in design, analysis, development, coding, unit testing, debug and documentation for Java/J2EE systems including Web applications, business services, batch applications, large/complex projects and using Web Services to improve interface/API and significantly enhance integration capability between front-end and back-end systems
- A fundamental understanding of software skills and the different components of SDLC such as business analysis, development, and maintenance and software improvement is essential
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related field, with minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in Agile software development methodology and practices with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation.
- Working knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis/Object Oriented Design methodologies and life cycles.
- Demonstrated experience with SCM tools such as GIT, Jenkins
- Experience with application development on Java, J2EE, Spring, Java Design Patterns and JUnit.
- Java, Spring, NodeJS, SQL, JAVA 8, Spring boot, microservices
- Knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle/SQL Server, SQL
- Knowledge of Web service technologies including SOAP/REST.
- Strong working knowledge of IntelliJ, Maven and Tomcat.
- AWS knowledge is required
- Any working knowledge of Cloud Technologies, Cloud Foundry, Kafka, Kubernetes etc. Containerization / Work flow platform knowledge is good to have
An attitude with empathy and understanding and collaborate with others.
