As a Lead HVAC Installer, your primary role will be to accurately and efficiently install basic residential HVAC systems, along with other related components, in a timely manner with assistance from a helper. It is our expectation that you uphold our company’s values and commitment to excellence in every project.
You will work directly with the lead service technician and comfort consultant.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Installing HVAC systems, including central air conditioning units, furnaces, heat pumps, and other related equipment following manufacturer’s specifications
- Wire both line and low voltage to heating and cooling equipment
- Determine the correct size and optimal design of HVAC systems
- Ensuring that all installations are completed in compliance with relevant building codes
- Installing copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering, brazing and press
- Installing sheet metal and flex duct systems in residential and light commercial buildings
- Connecting gas lines to heating equipment safely and efficiently
- Pre-measuring jobs to identify proper materials required for installation
- Receiving, verifying, and loading all equipment and materials needed for each job
- Providing assistance to other leads as directed by management
- Offering training and support to helpers and junior team members
- Establishing effective working relationships with co-workers and superiors
- Properly filling out all paperwork required for each job
- Taking all readings on a machine and understanding the importance of such readings
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions
- Maintaining cleanliness of assigned company vehicle
- Upholding a professional company image at all times
- Working safely, always adhering to company policies
- Ensuring that all installations prioritize safety and meet local regulations
What Makes YOU Great!
- You have 3 to 5 years of prior residential Lead HVAC installation experience
- You have your EPA Certification, or we will help you get it
- Your outgoing personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
- You’re self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team
- Able to distinguish between different HVAC equipment
- Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs.
- Knowledge and ability to apply local residential HVAC codes
- Your willingness to participate in continuing education
- A positive and can-do attitude
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
