Job description

As a Lead Global Data Threat Analyst within Crane Company’s Insider Threat Program, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization’s sensitive information and intellectual property. This position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of data security, threat landscapes, and the ability to coordinate proactive measures across a diverse global conglomerate. This Lead will have the opportunity to provide informal oversight of the day-to-day work of two Analysts, leveraging advanced threat intelligence, analytics, and monitoring techniques to detect and mitigate potential risks stemming from insider threats.

Open to a remote work arrangement in specific geographies.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and implement strategies for the timely detection and response to potential insider threats
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of global risks to company assets
  • Coordinate with program stakeholders for swift and effective incident resolution
  • Analyze, maintain, and improve monitoring solutions to detect anomalous user behavior and data access patterns
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and HR, and governance
  • Communicate incidents and program metrics effectively with executive leadership
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to educate employees on data protection best practices
  • Monitor and apply changes to industry standards associated with privacy and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Oversee the implementation and/or optimization of data protection technologies
  • Identify, track, and implement measures for continual improvement towards organizational resilience

Qualifications and Competencies:


  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience handling insider threats, data loss prevention and related data security roles
  • Supervisory experience
  • In-depth knowledge of insider threat landscapes, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques
  • Strong familiarity with DLP and related technologies and practices, including data classification and protection
  • Experience utilizing a variety of security solutions including User Activity Monitoring, SIEM/SOAR, EDR and related technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, industry standards, and global regulatory requirements in the areas of privacy and data protection
  • Experience administering enterprise-level information security systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to convey complex security concepts to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit, distributed team
  • Highly collaborative, able to build relationships quickly and easily, team-player
  • Desired: Degree in a related field and/or relevant industry certifications including CISSP, CISM, etc.
  • US Person as defined under EAR PART 772 AND ITAR 120.15
