Construction Foreman/ Lead Framer
Black Ridge Industries LLC is a family owned and operated construction contracting company located in Rexburg, ID. Our primary focus is in the new construction of residential homes, and acreage shops in SE Idaho.
We currently have projects in the Driggs, Rexburg, and Rigby areas, and are looking for a Lead Framerto join our team to help meet the high demand. The ideal candidate will need to be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. He/she will also be a seasoned individual in their trade with sufficient experience to lead a team of like minded individuals. Responsibilities:
- Leading crews of 2-4 people
- Coordinate the daily activities of the crew members to ensure quality workmanship
- Reads, interprets, ensures compliance with engineering plans and specifications
- Ensures labor production is met, quality is maintained
- Provides direction, training, problem resolution
- Performs calculations for material and supply requirements
- Reads and interprets blueprints
- Jobsite Safety
- Ensures safety and security of construction project
- Client Relations
- Perform Carpentry Tasks
- Perform rough and finished carpentry from beginning to end
- Install windows and hangs doors
- Builds and installs customized shelves, cabinets and/or counters
- Operates general construction equipment on site
- Starts work on time
- Follows safety rules
- Has reliable transportation to jobsite
- Has own standard hand tools
- Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Coordinate with management to ensure that the job is being completed on time and within budget.
- Minimum 5 years carpentry experience required
- Minimum 1 year in foreman/ team leader position
Skills:
- A sound understanding of the construction process, from footings to finish work
- Must be familiar with reading construction blueprints
- Experience with site equipment operating ( skidsteers, telehandlers,etc.)
- Experience as a Carpenter/ Framer
- Experience with concrete is a bonus
- Experience with finishing carpentry is a bonus
- Exhibits strong leadership qualities, guiding the team through complex projects and setting a high standard for workmanship
- Displaying a strong work ethic, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to completing tasks efficiently
- Being a team-oriented individual with good communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues
- Excellent communication skills
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
Job Description:
·Hours: Full-time
·Pay: DOE Starts at $27-30 hr
·Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
·Shifts are currently set up as 4x10's, Mon-Thurs, Tuesday- Friday depending on Holidays and scheduled deadlines. Individual needs to be flexible to help our company to meet critical deadlines.
Requirements:
- All applicants must have their own phone and a valid drivers license
- Min 5 years experience in the trade 1 year in a lead position
