This Lead Working Foreman position will oversee, supervise, and hold daily meetings with the site team, remind them of safety protocols, and resolve problems and conflicts that may arise as they complete projects. You will coordinate with other crew supervisors to ensure progress is happening without delays.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee, schedule, and arrange crew work daily, cooperating with other team members as necessary.
- Review all project activities, work equipment and sites every day to make sure everything is performed to company standards as well as to the latest OSHA regulations and standards.
- Travel to and supervise multiple sites during the course of a day.
- Ensure enough deployment and productivity of work crews in assigning to employees.
- Dispatch crews accordingly to sites.
- Train employees on equipment and tools, if necessary.
- Engage in open communication with the Superintendent and Project Managers and report any circumstances which could affect the project plan.
- Train new crew members whenever they join the team and provide workers with continuing education according to the latest industry requirements in order that all work meets the most current specifications.
- Organize and coordinate the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, and equipment and utilize corrective action to keep the project on time and on budget.
- Observe work for potential quality control issues and apply necessary corrections.
- Identify and execute best practices concerning safe and efficient use of construction materials and equipment.
- Plan work in an efficient and effective order, maximizing progress in a safe and timely manner.
- Inspect work site to determine potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Review and adhere to construction schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are met.
- Ensure company equipment is properly operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively and that daily equipment checklists are getting completed.
- Operate heavy equipment and other construction duties, as necessary.
- Supervise the loading and unloading of equipment for each project.
- Monitor and manage employee attendance, ensuring the timely arrival and participation of all crew members, and notifying Foreman of rain days, prior to the start of the workday.
