The Role

The Lead Finance Analyst partners with Lumen business stakeholders to drive understanding of business performance including the financial results achieved, the outcomes of key initiatives and investments, and opportunities for the business to take actions to improve financial outcomes. This role is expected to be hands-on in partnering with business leadership and delivering insightful analysis and reporting. This will require a strong analytical, reporting and business partnering mindset to drive performance and communicate risks and opportunities through insightful analysis. The role also collaborates with Finance colleagues and supports teammates in furthering their skills. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of Lumen while expanding your skillsets and impact.
Location and Schedule
This is a fully-remote position. Lumen will ship and provide all equipment necessary for the role.
The Main Responsibilities
- Partner across the business finance team that will support marketing and serve as a cultural catalyst driving a growth mindset within the finance organization.
- Understand the business levers and drivers of performance across key areas of the business, including the overall sales and product strategy.
- Take lead to manage central FP&A for Tech & Marketing finance to manage the finance ROB: close, budgeting, forecasting, key deliverables for Tech & Marketing.
- Partner with the Marketing Leadership Team on overall marketing strategy and programs across finance and business.
- Proactively seek ways to drive efficiencies and optimization across the finance team.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Self starter. Proven ability to take high level direction and produce results which show thought leadership and drive value creation for the business with limited supervision..
- Develops analytical frameworks and performs analysis to help facilitate senior-level decision-making on business issues and/or problems (either individually or through team members)..
Preferred Qualification
- Growth mindset / thought leader. Need to think outside the box and seek ways to grow and learn; fail fast and lead new ways of driving change..
- Thrive on change and continuous improvement - simplifying and automatic processes using technology.

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$80510 - $107340 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$84740 - $112980 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$88980 - $118630 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$93210 - $124280 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
