Lead DaycareTeacher Qualifications:
- Shall be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have obtained a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).
- A minimum of an associate degree in child development or early childhood education.
- 21 college credits in child development, early childhood education, or early childhood special education and an assoicate degree required.
- Minimum of 12 months experience in working with young children.
Lead Toddler Teacher Primary Role:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom practices that support the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of young children, and meet the Illinois state standards. Responsible for full implementation of policies and procedures, regulations, and guidelines operation of CCC.
- Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem and self-discipline.
- Ensure the safety of each student whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in common areas, through constant supervision.
- Have positive interactions with each child daily during circle time, centers, mealtimes, free play, outside time, with the purpose of creating a positive learning environment.
- Upload classroom activities on a daily basis using our parent-child communication app
- Complete student evaluations and take part in parent-teacher conferences twice a year.
- Create positive relationships with all staff members.
Lead Toddler Teacher Physical Requirements:
- Be able to lift 25-30 lbs.
- Be able to walk, squat/kneel, sit on the floor, see, hear, and speak with children to ensure children’s health and safety
- Be able to keep up with active, young children.
Other:
- Updated Medical Health Report with evidence of MMR vaccination and TB testing
- Criminal Background Check
- Will need to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate
