Our Lead Cook position is a pivotal role within our culinary team, responsible for supporting the Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager in various aspects of kitchen operations. This role entails working open shifts, assisting in menu planning, training new hires, upholding kitchen safety standards, and contributing to inventory management and order preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the F&B Manager: Collaborate closely with the F&B Manager to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness.
Open Shifts: Assume responsibility for opening shifts, including preparing the kitchen for daily operations, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly, and organizing necessary ingredients and supplies.
Menu Planning: Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative input while considering factors such as seasonality, cost-effectiveness, and customer preferences.
Training: Train new kitchen staff on culinary techniques, food safety protocols, and kitchen procedures to ensure consistent quality and adherence to standards.
Kitchen Safety: Uphold kitchen safety standards and practices, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures, to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock checks, and communicating with suppliers to ensure adequate supply levels while minimizing waste.
Order Preparation: Play a hands-on role in preparing food orders, ensuring timely and accurate execution of menu items to meet customer demands and maintain kitchen efficiency.
