Lead Consultant

**Multiple Openings**
DUTIES: The position of Lead Consultant is responsible for highly specialized duties relating to one of our key services – Software Solutions, and will focus on the design, development, execution and implementation of e-commerce solutions that are consistent with our clients’ business and technology strategies. Specific duties will include but not be limited to the following complex functions:

• Design and develop Java-based HCL WebSphere Commerce applications and extended sites following software design methodology standards
• Contribute to all phases of software development including requirement analysis, development of technical approach documentation, providing SME support to the project management team and other third-party development teams; developing detailed technical design documentation; integrating with third-party and back-end software and systems; implementing solutions using the standard WebSphere Commerce extensions framework; coordinating the testing efforts on the end solution
• Work with Business Analysts to understand business requirements; develop reusable components and services that address the requirements discovered
• Develop methodologies to implement technology solutions while incorporating best practices from an internal and external perspective
• Help foster collaborative team environment, working closely with other member of BlueSky’s consulting team and following direction of Management to continually develop, launch, and deliver BlueSky’s capabilities
• Support developers in configuration of development environments and deployment of application builds
• Participate in technical design efforts and perform peer code reviews
• Continue to development and implementation of bug fixes, troubleshooting, and enhancement efforts
• Provide technical, architectural, and development value and leadership on an e-commerce platform following software design methodology standards
• Work with Solution Architects to establish technical vision for the project based on business requirements
• Lead technical design efforts and perform peer code reviews
• Provide developmental estimates for large feature sets to Architects and Project Managers in support of building Work Breakdown Structures and project plans
• Independently lead small teams on client projects with minimal oversight from a Solution Architect
• During the course of the client conversations and/or during a client engagement, work to identify potential opportunities to improve the client’s business that are outside the scope of the immediate discussions when possible

Minimum Job Requirements:
The position of Lead Consultant with BlueSky Technology Partners, Inc. requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering or a closely related field or the foreign equivalent; and 36 months (3 years) experience as a Consultant (Software Developer) which must include developing web-based J2EE applications using WebSphere Commerce suite of products including WebSphere Commerce Server and WebSphere Application Server, we well as proficiency in Java, JEE, EJB, PL/SQL, and XML.
