Responsibilities:
- Obtain bids on projects from Subcontractors and Suppliers.
- Foster communication with clients and architects.
- Oversee and facilitate the training of new Estimators, as required.
- Examine estimates for data completeness and ensure adherence to procedures.
- Analyze project plans and specifications; coordinate with the team for a comprehensive scope.
- Negotiate with Subcontractors for more favorable prices.
- Secure multiple bids for each scope, selecting the most fitting for the project.
- Understand estimating scope, schedule of execution, structure, and report formats.
- Review subcontractor estimates for thoroughness and alignment with the project’s physical scope.
- Support project teams in addressing estimating challenges, including cost, schedule, and changes.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field.
- Prior supervisory or project leadership roles in a construction setting is an advantage.
- 10-15 years of experience in the commercial construction sector.
- Outstanding organizational, negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership competencies.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
