Lead Front Desk Clerk Summary:
- Oversee operations of front desk staff members, ensuringcontract requirements are met.
- Provide direction to front desk staff members in theperformance of their duties as necessary.
- Ensure completion of monthly required reports documenting visitorsto critical areas within the facility.
- Serve as primary point of contact for the CMS COR ensuring theyare kept aware of situations which may adversely affect security of the site.
- Perform same duties as those required of front desk staffmembers.
- Recognized problems should be promptlyreported to the CMS COR as well as PRI management.
- Carry out detailed instructionsand procedures to ensure that emergencies and security violations are readilydiscovered and reported to appropriate authorities.
- Verify statistical reports for accuracy andcompleteness; compiling information; and handling and adjusting complaints.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Utilize theautomated Welcome Center software to process visitors.
- Retrieve approvedvisit requests received via email and from security staff and disseminate toothers as necessary for proper processing and documentation.
- Provideinformation to visitors to the facility including, but not limited to, localservices available (public transportation, lodging, taxi services, etc.).
- Maintain and filevisitor logs for the facility.
- Ensure adequatevisitor control supplies are on hand for all facility entry locations; includeslog sheets, temporary badges, and badge holders.
- Escort visitorsthroughout the main campus facility in accordance with agency security policiesand procedures.
- Escort deliverypersonnel arriving via loading docks to actual delivery locations throughoutthe facility.
- Contact assignedescorts for visitors onsite to attend meetings and conferences.
- Assist withregistration of conference attendees as needed.
- Provideadditional administrative support as needed.
Qualifications:
Requires aTier 2 background investigation. This background investigation is appropriatefor contractors who will not have access to classified information. It isdesignated as a public trust position that requires responsible and trustworthyemployees but has no impact on national security.
- Ability to interpret, understand, and apply administrative and security policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.
- Ability to perform duties independently and adapt to changes with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain visitor records and prepare reports as required.
- Ability to perform work requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to professionally interact with employees, contractors, and visitors; includes senior agency staff and VIPs.
- Ability to maintain professional working relationships with the Division of Physical Security Operations (DPSO) staff, contract guard force, Federal Protective Service, and other entities.
- Ability to effectively use computer software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and agency proprietary software systems.
Experience:
- Experiencefollowing security processes and procedures.
- Excellentinterpersonal communications skills and a positive attitude.
- Must be proficient at using a variety ofword/document processing, software, and computer systems.
- Experienceprocessing personnel for security processes.
- Experiencesupporting Federal Customers preferred.
