JobResponsibilities:
- Interacting with the sales team, project managers, and clients to thoroughly understand project requirements.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and train carpenters of varying skill levels
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deliverables.
- Ability to handle kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects of all sizes.
- Ensure accurate field measurements.
- Accurately reads blueprints and sketches to build, assemble, and/or install cabinetry/cabinetry components.
- Verifies dimensions and checks the quality or fit of pieces to ensure specifications are met.
- Establishes the specifications of cabinets to be constructed or repaired.
- Fabricates or assembles cabinetry components to specifications.
- Measures and marks dimensions of parts before cutting to ensure a tight fit and quality product.
- Cuts timber to the right size and shape and trim parts of joints to ensure a snug fit, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
- Trims, sands, or scrapes surfaces or joints to prepare cabinets for finishing.
- Matches materials for color, grain, or texture.
- Installing crown molding, light rail molding, doors, drawers, knobs, pulls, miscellaneous hardware, hinges, and rails with precision.
- Excellent knowledge of wood species and grades.
- Setting up, operating, and maintaining all relevant tools and machines, including hand routers, saws, stationary equipment, and all power hand tools.
- Setting up, programming, operating, maintaining, and training another team member so n the CNC Cut Center
- Cleaning and arranging the work area after work is complete at the end of each day.
- Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Maintained and cleaned equipment and work area.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude, coordination, and dexterity.
- Dependable and detail-oriented.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to organization standards and policies.
Job Qualifications:
- Carpentry Experience: 5+ years (required).
- Cabinet Fabrication & Installation: 5+ years (required).
Skills:
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Extensive knowledge of power tools.
- Ability to accurately use measuring devices.
- Ability to read and understand job instructions.
- Ability to read CADs and translate them into fabricated products.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a team-oriented individual with a willingness to learn.
Physical Demands:
- Standing 90% of the day.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50-75 pounds safely.
- Must be able to climb ladders without difficulty.
- Must be able to perform overhead tasks, as well as tasks that include frequent bending and stooping.
- Must be able to use hand power tools.
