WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Lead Capabilities Manager to drive significant results supporting the next generation athlete data platforms and digital technology capabilities.
The ideal candidate is a life-long learner, highly analytical, creative, user and athlete*-centered, excellent at navigating the unknowns and working with multiple customers in a highly matrixed organization to get the right things done. They understand the "why" of each decision and how to deliver value in support of organizational goals. They are equally adept at setting a long-term strategic vision as they are at getting in the weeds, slicing up value drops and driving optimization cycles.
Must have a proven track record of successful delivery of significant business capabilities and outcomes, holding themselves accountable for their commitments.
This role requires a command of end-to-end business capabilities, keen business insight, ability to identify and quantify value, a detailed understanding of qualitative research, and exposure to new technologies such as AI and machine learning.
The selected candidate applies design thinking methodologies consistently, and collaboratively works with matrixed multi-functional teams across the enterprise to bring products and platforms to life in a complex and sophisticated landscape.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will be accountable for developing the vision, delivery, and evolution of fundamental and significant digital capabilities, taking into consideration people, process, data and tools, to scale and amplify business impact.
Your roadmap will be grounded in strategic hypotheses formed by data and insights to reach expected outcomes aligned to Nike's goals and objectives.
You will assess business and user impact of different solutions, prototype and test, conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, and determine tradeoffs between business / user needs, technology requirements, complexity, timelines, and costs.
Your mission includes innovating ways of working with multi-functional partners to enable value delivery with speed. This includes cultivating alignment across partners to drive value delivery to athletes* and the business.
You will work closely with other Business and Global Technology partners to effectively align our product domains and deliver toward our strategic priorities.
You will develop and cultivate successful and collaborative relationships with users and multi-functional partners including business leaders, Technology partners, customers, and others.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role is inherently multi-functional by design; you will work closely with users, business leaders, Product Managers, Engineering, Architecture, Program and Portfolio Management, Strategy, Finance, to bring our experiences to life.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or combination of relevant education, experience and training
  • 5-8+ years of experience in Capabilities Management or Product Management
  • Design thinking expertise
  • Proven experience with advanced technology such as AI/ML
  • Experience with working in an Agile delivery environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and non-technical problems
