Job Description
SUMMARY
The Lead Behavior Analyst (LBA) provides supervision and support to Behavior Consultant Assistants (BCA), Behavior Consultants (BC), and Behavior Analysts (BA) within the EIBS program. Supervision includes IBHS required supervision in addition to tailoring support to individual needs of supervisees. The LBA also provides BCBA supervision hours to Behavior Health Technicians (BHT), BCAs, and BCs currently working towards gaining certification as a BCBA. Additionally, the LBA will be expected to maintain a reduced caseload of clients in which they will perform the required functions of a BA. The LBA will collaborate with the Behavior Services Manager and BT Supervisors on clinical and operational processes at Vista and actively work as part of the team, promoting consistency and quality service delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides supervision and support to BCAs, BCs, and BAs, per IBHS requirements and individual needs
- Provides BCBA supervision hours to a small caseload of BHTs, BCAs, and BCs who are actively accruing supervision hours towards their BCBA certification
- Maintains required documentation of supervision, per IBHS and BACB requirements
- Maintains small caseload of students, performing the BA job responsibilities
- Collaborates with members of the behavioral team to promote consistency and quality service delivery
- Collaborates with members of the educational and related services team to ensure a collaborative working environment that yields positive results for all students
- Conducts performance reviews as scheduled
- Addresses and manages employee performance issues, disciplinary issues, and training deficiencies for department members, and directs and implements positive management techniques for continual performance improvements
- Maintains accurate and complete records as required, including data collection, analysis, program planning, progress reporting and billing, and approval of records for department members as needed
- Leads department meetings, group supervision, and actively participates in Vista’s behavioral team
- Maintains and submits all required documentation by expected deadlines
- Completes other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position provides supervision to BHT, BCA, BC, and BA staff on clinical duties and job performance standards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The following positions or frequent movements are typical of the job: sitting, walking, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, stooping, kneeling, and crawling, often for extended periods of the workday. Assignment may require the ability to physically move clients during possible physical interventions in order to maintain a safe learning environment.
The position requires that an individual be able to learn new tasks quickly and effectively. Job requirements may change frequently. The ability to understand and carry out detailed, involved, instructions is mandatory. The incumbent must be able to travel to multiple locations as needed, when needed to conduct organizational business. Subject to inside environmental conditions.
EXPECTED SCHEDULE
This is a full time 40 hour per week position. The LBA will adhere to the administrative calendar. Days and hours of the workweek are agreed upon by management and the school. Services may be provided across school, and community settings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in related service field required
- Minimum 2 years of experience designing and implementing programming based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in behavior reduction required
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience required
- Behavior Analyst Board Certification required
- Behavior Specialist Licensure required
- Successful completion of Safe and Positive Approaches training required
- High proficiency of Microsoft Office products and Internet applications required
- Ability to implement, train, and coach other staff on the implementation of services and proper crisis prevention and intervention techniques required
